Special Report
Pandemic Flu Awareness
Many articles have been written about the prospect of a global pandemic following the successful human-to-human transmission of the H5N1 avian influenza virus. Each typically lists a few sources for more information, but the articles are not updated as new sources appear. Governments and international organizations have made plans and published web sites full of information, but they focus in their own information or send readers to the same few sources. The Internet search sites find too many sources to be useful. This page, then, is an attempt to gather the best sources of information from a variety of perspectives, crossing lines of both geography and discipline.
