Fox clubs fans of a retired TV show with the crude weapon of copyright. Why do entertainment industries go to such lengths to oppose their customers?

If you have secret policies that are enforced by account suspension, expect your users to document them. Here's a guide to some of Facebook's opaque policies. I wonder if anyone is charting the bandwidth usage that triggers cable/DSL bandwidth police acti
Damn laywers ;-). Thanks for the link. I always look to my customers and market. But when I'm both the market (a fan who was let down and miffed!) and a marketer saying why, oh why, would you abandon your evangelists who pay money and WOM about your shows?, it's a pretty amazing place to be. (Meaning I see this issue from both sides.)
But one thing I'm thankful for? Fox now has a few slides in a prez that I will be giving for YEARS on how to monumentally mess up. Payback's a bit** and lots of audiences are going to have fun at Fox's expense for not letting this fan go to her sing-a-long. Hee, hee.
btw: I added you to my blogroll, I've been so remiss and I'm sorry. Do tell me if you're going to WOMMA (and if it's even in December???).
It's definitely a good example to talk about, whether it ends well or not. (I'm trying to remember an example from Paramount a couple of years ago that did end well, but drawing a blank so far.)
I will be at WOMMA all three days (November 13-15, including the research symposium).
